Correspondence and memorabilia relating to the Mesilla Valley, the Turney Ranch, the Lewis family, a baptismal cap crocheted by Preacher Lewis, scrapbooks, books, news clippings and personal papers. The collection dates from the early 1900's to Elizabeth Stephen's death March 7, 2003 at the age of 90.

BIOGRAPHY:

Elizabeth Turney Stephens was a life-long member of St. James Episcopal Church, Mesilla Park , NM and a friend of the Preacher Lewis family. She grew up in Mesilla Park , but lived her adult life in Silver City , NM . She was the owner of the Patio Garden Shop nursery.
