BIOGRAPHY:

Don R. Martin was a NMSU photojournalism professor for 25 years before retiring in 1995. He was also a former newspaper photographer and retail camera store manager. His photography has appeared on the covers of local and national magazines, postcards, place mats, telephone directories, etc. His photo specialties include caves and caverns, plus landscapes and portraits. His work has won numerous awards in various competitions throughout the country. He has visited all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and various Western European countries during his photo treks. Personal awards have included Boy Scouting's Silver Beaver and Running Grey Wolf awards. He also served as a Kiwanis Lt. Gov. in the Southern New Mexico/West Texas division.
