BIOGRAPHY:

Albert Cole, Jr. was born in Brooklyn; graduated from Brooklyn College, PBK, Master’s in History from U. of Wisconsin, Madison; served in Army CIC Corps in Washington, D.C.; retired Senior Vice-President of Equitable Life Assurance Society (now Axa Equitable).  Al has played golf in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Joan Horn Cole was born in Amarillo, Texas, graduate of Arlington Heights High School, Fort Worth, Texas; attended Georgetown U. in Washington, D.C. (studied Chinese); graduate of Montclair State College, NJ, in English/Library Science; MLS, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.  Joan served in school and public libraries in NJ.

Both Albert and Joan love to travel and have taught their three daughters and seven grandsons the love of travel; one daughter married a Scot.

As of fall 2008, one half Scottish/US grandson has worked in Japan (he’s fluent in Japanese) and now in Rome (learning Italian); one half Scottish/US grandson is an MD, interning in London; one grandson is a Senior at Princeton U. studying politics and forensics; one grandson is studying hotel management at U. of Delaware; one grandson is beginning high school at Principia Upper School, St. Louis, MO.
