BIOGRAPHY:

After Army service in the Pacific area during WWII and completing college, Herbert H. Adams - a native Rhode Islander - pursued a 38-year career in international marketing which took him to over 70 countries and 17 years of expatriate residence in four countries. After retirement, he and his wife Carol traveled internationally for pleasure and volunteer service with the International Executive Service Corps. Before a brief retirement in Florida, Herb and Carol cruised, for nearly a year, in a 30-foot sailboat. They moved to Las Cruces, NM, in 1994, which served as a base for extensive travel in Mexico, Canada, and many U.S. states in their VW Westphalia camper. When this vehicle was sold in early 2004 it had traveled 147,000 miles within 13 European nations, 5 Canadian provinces, 45 U.S.states and 10 Mexican states. Herbert Adams died July 11, 2008
